PRESIDENT and CEO: Michael Myers
Michael has over 20 years active experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the US and Europe with a proven track record of development and commercialization of a number of significant drug delivery products across a wide variety of delivery routes. He has served as President of the Drug Delivery division of West Pharmaceutical Services and formerly as President of Pharmaceutical Operations for Fuisz Technologies (Biovail) where he oversaw the development and commercialization of the Company's FlashDose® technology platform. Michael has also held executive positions in Flamel Technologies and Elan Corporation. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Cork.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER: Steven Shallcross
Steve has over 20 years of financial and operational experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has held senior executive roles with a number of emerging biopharmaceutical companies, and most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Vanda Pharmaceuticals. Prior to his years at Vanda, he was CFO and Treasurer of Advancis Pharmaceuticals (now MiddleBrook Pharmaceuticals). Steve is the Chairman of the Financial Executive Forum for the Technology Council of Maryland, a board member of the Washington D.C. chapter of Financial Executives International, and is a steering committee member for the Baltimore - Washington Area Association of Bioscience Financial Officers. Steve is a certified public accountant and earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and he holds a MBA from University of Chicago Gradulate School of Business.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND CORPORATE AFFAIRS: Denise Carter
Denise has 16 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and has held executive Business Development roles for various Drug Delivery companies. Prior to joining Innocoll she served as Vice President Business Development for the Drug Delivery division of West Pharmaceutical Services, responsible for business development, marketing, and project management activities. She has held senior business development positions with Eurand, Cardinal Health, and Fuisz Technologies (Biovail). Denise holds B.S. in Chemistry from the College of William and Mary.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT: Joan Fitzpatrick
Joan has 16 years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry in Europe and the US, primarily in Research and Development roles, but also in Quality and Regulatory Affairs. Her technical experience includes transdermal delivery, oral solids and liquids, rapid dissolve technologies and lyophilization. She is authorized as a Qualified Person in the EU and her regulatory experience spans both industry and regulatory agency perspectives, including serving as the representative for the Irish Medicines Board at VMRFG (EMEA). Joan has held technical and/or management positions at Elan Corporation, Fuisz Technologies (Biovail) and Aventis. Joan attended Trinity College Dublin where she earned an honors degree in Pharmacy and MSc in Pharmaceutics.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT CLINICAL, REGULATORY AND SCIENTIFIC AFFAIRS:
David Prior
David holds a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from the University of Surrey. He has more than 25 years international experience in the pharmaceutical industry having worked for major research-based companies such as Wyeth and Aventis, as well as drug delivery companies including Elan Corporation and Fuisz Technologies (Biovail). David joined Innocoll from the UK-based CRO, Pharmaceutical Profiles, where he served on the Board as Technical Director responsible for R&D, Clinical Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
MANAGING DIRECTOR SYNTACOLL GmbH: Alexandra Timm
Alexandra holds a Ph.D.in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Munich. Educated as a pharmacist she has 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry in Europe and has worked for a biotechnology company in the US. She has experience in design, Research and Development of vaccines, as well as Quality and Regulatory Affairs. She is authorized and registered as a Qualified Person.
