Rolf Schmidt, CHAIRMAN

Mr. Schmidt was co-founder of the medical bio-adhesives product company, Closure Medical Corporation together with his brother William Schmidt. He led the company as Chairman from its early development through IPO in 1996 and up until its acquisition by Johnson & Johnson in 2005. Mr. Schmidt's training and business experience is concentrated mainly in engineering and management roles. He was co-founder of Sharpoint, Inc. a leading developer and manufacturer of ophthalmic surgical needles and sutures prior to its acquisition by Alcon Labs, Inc. in 1986. Mr. Schmidt actively consults with and invests in early-stage healthcare technology companies.

Paul G. Oxholm, DIRECTOR

Mr. Oxholm is President and CEO of Unique Technologies, a privately held specialty medical device manufacturer, and has over twenty years of experience in finance, business development, and executive management positions within the healthcare and financial services industries. Mr. Oxholm has served as President of Sharpoint Partners, a management consulting practice, CEO of Carewide, Inc. a web-based practice management software company and as Sr. Vice President with Wachovia Bank.

Michael Myers, Ph.D., DIRECTOR

Dr. Michael Myers is President and Chief Executive Officer of Innocoll Inc. He has over 20 years active experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the US and Europe with a proven track record of development and commercialization of a number of significant drug delivery products across a wide variety of delivery routes. He has served as President of the Drug Delivery division of West Pharmaceutical Services and formerly as President of Pharmaceutical Operations for Fuisz Technologies (Biovail) where he oversaw the development and commercialization of the Company's FlashDose® technology platform. Michael has also held executive positions in Flamel Technologies and Elan Corporation. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Cork.

Courtney Carson, DIRECTOR

Courtney Carson is a senior analyst at Camulos Capital LP, where he has worked since the inception of the firm in 2005. Prior to joining Camulos, Mr. Carson was an analyst in the multi-strategy credit business of Soros Fund Management LLC. Prior to joining Soros, he worked as an investment banker at Deutsche Bank Securities in New York, where he focused on financings and M&A across the healthcare sector. Mr. Carson has a BA from the University of Notre Dame.

Gordon Dunn, DIRECTOR

Gordon Dunn has managed NewSmith Capital's Private Equity funds since their inception in 2004. Prior to joining NewSmith Gordon had over 12 years' experience in the banking and securities industry and as a securities lawyer, including nine years with Merrill Lynch in London. Prior to joining NewSmith, Gordon was Co-Head of the Merrill Lynch European Private Equity Group from 2000 to 2002. Gordon began his career as an associate at the law firm Morrison & Foerster. He received a Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, from Stanford University and a JD from New York University School of Law.

Dr. Tony Wild, DIRECTOR

Dr. Wild has over 30 years experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.  He has held senior positions in Warner Lambert's Parke-Davis division, Schering Plough and MedPointe Pharmaceuticals.  Dr. Wild is a co-founder and General Partner of BOWS Pharmaceuticals AG, a Swiss drug-delivery technology company.  He is a member of the Boards of Directors of several privately-owned specialty pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.  He also chairs the board of advisors of Ferrer, Freeman and Co., a healthcare private equity firm.  He is on the board of advisors of Celtic Therapeutics, a pharmaceutical venture fund and is an advisor to Golden Pond Healtcare Inc., a special acquisitions corporation.

Dr. Wild graduated in 1968 from the University of York where he earned an honors degree in Chemistry.  He also holds a Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from the University of Cambridge (Churchill College).

Ken Higgins, DIRECTOR

Ken Higgins leads the healthcare team at Greene Holcomb & Fisher, a Minneapolis-based investment bank that provides a full range of M&A and financial advisory services to middle market companies.  He has over 15 years of M&A and private equity experience as an investment banker, venture capital investor and transactional lawyer.  Prior to GH&F, Mr. Higgins was a partner with SightLine Partners, a healthcare focused venture capital firm.  Previously, Mr. Higgins was a M&A specialist with Piper Jaffray's healthcare investment banking team, and practiced law at Dorsey & Whitney and Kirkland & Ellis.  Mr. Higgins is a member of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Industrial Advisory Board and the Kadent Corp. board of directors.   Mr. Higgins received a BBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and a JD from Harvard Law School.
